My Story
From auditing balance sheets to auditing health
I'm not here to teach you how to hustle harder.
I've spent much of my life being the woman who makes things happen. A Bachelor of Accountancy from NTU, four years in audit, then a decade as a headhunter placing key management and accounting professionals — on paper, I was the picture of "made it." Mother. Provider. Entrepreneur. Problem solver. I learnt to hustle, push, carry, achieve and keep going — because that's what the season demanded.
After I gave birth to Jeremiah, I did everything "right." I breastfed. I exercised every single day. And I still looked puffy and felt tired all the time. I didn't like the woman I saw in the mirror, and my confidence quietly went with her.
So I made a decision: I have the right to look and feel good, mum guilt and all. I paired my daily exercise with the right nutritional support and stayed consistent. I got my energy and my confidence back, and along the way went from a size M to XS.
Audit taught me that small, unnoticed entries add up. It turns out our bodies keep the books too, and it's never too late to start building reserves.
Building a good life isn't about how much more I can carry. It's about learning what is actually worth carrying.
At 45, I'm living a different season — less proving, more purpose; less rushing, more rootedness; less doing everything myself, more allowing God into everything. Rise With Zan exists to walk this season alongside other women asking the same questions I am.
